Harwood Andrews Lawyers’ seasonal clerkship program provides you with the opportunity to taste life at Harwood Andrews Lawyers and experience the inner workings at our firm.
You will get a close-up insight into the firm’s culture, its talent and its dedication to its clients. You will also see how our lawyers deliver outcomes to our extensive client base of high-net-wealth individuals, family-owned businesses and the organisations that service them.
The objective of a seasonal clerkship with Harwood Andrews Lawyers is to offer a formal and well-rounded learning opportunity. The three-week program provides you with a snapshot of the legal profession and gives you an exciting opportunity to experience what it’s like to work in a law firm.
At the commencement of your seasonal clerkship you will be introduced to your buddy, who will be one of the firm’s articled clerks or a junior lawyer. Your buddy will be responsible for giving you the support needed to ensure that your clerkship is rewarding, as well as a positive learning experience.
Harwood Andrews Lawyers offers seasonal clerkships in both our Melbourne and Geelong offices.
Geelong
Your seasonal clerkship will include exposure in three areas of the law with a one-week rotation in each of the Business Law, Litigation and Family Law departments.
Melbourne
Your seasonal clerkship will include exposure in two areas of the law with a rotation in each of Business Law and Litigation departments.
Dates
Winter clerkships: 6 July to 24 July 2009
Summer clerkships: 23 November to 11 December 2009

Applications open on Monday 23 February 2009 and close on Friday 27 March 2009.

Interviews
Interviews will be by panel and will be undertaken by members of the human resources team. Interviews will commence on Monday 13 April 2009.
Offers
Offers will be made on 18 May 2009 in accordance with the Law Institute of Victoria Seasonal Clerkship Guidelines 2009 and must be accepted or declined within 24 hours of the offer being made.
