Megan Bishop is a graduate lawyer who is completing the requirements for admission to legal practice by undertaking a Traineeship with Harwood Andrews Lawyers.
Megan undertook a seasonal clerkship with our firm in 2009 and was offered a priority offer to undertake her Traineeship in 2010 with our firm.
Megan completed her studies in a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) (both with first class honours) at the University of Melbourne in 2009.
Megan presently deals with a wide range of matters and is gaining experience in the following areas:
preparing commercial agreements, wills and other documentation
preparing commercial and taxation advice
preparing and managing taxation dispute resolution
research of complex commercial and taxation laws
While Megan will gain experience in a wide and varied range of legal work, she is gaining specialised experience in State and Federal taxes, wills and succession planning, trusts and tax sensitive commercial transactions.
As part of Megan’s duties under her traineeship she will also undertake pro bono work on behalf of Harwood Andrews Lawyers to support our values of connecting to the community.
