Neil Mathison is a Consultant for Harwood Andrews Lawyers practicing in the Business Law Department. He has expansive knowledge across business law and acts for both corporations and individuals.

Neil has been accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria as a specialist in business law since 1996. 

Neil’s principal areas of practice are:-

•   Business structuring
•   Business sales and acquisitions
•   Commercial property transactions, including subdivisions
•   Corporations law, including managed investment schemes, capital raisings and prospectus issues
•   Finance and securities
•   Trusts documentation and advice
•   Stamp duty and land tax

Neil’s counsel has helped many clients maximise growth opportunities and manage their risk. Clients also derive the benefit of Neil’s ability to plan and implement strategies to create and exit from profitable businesses.

In addition, Neil has shared his specialist knowledge on trusts through the leading taxation journal, Taxation In Australia.

Neil became a partner of Andrews & Backhouse Lawyers in 1985 and became a partner of the newly formed Harwood Andrews Lawyers in 1992 before becoming a principal of the firm.
