Ece Mustafa-Ay is a senior associate in Harwood Andrews Lawyers’ Litigation department.
Ece provides a personal and sensitve approach to commercial and practical advice to the firm’s clients to enable satisfactory resolutions to their disputes. She swiftly responds to clients’ requirements and actively endorses alternative methods of dispute resolution to facilitate outcomes.

She has considerable experience in personal and corporate insolvency advice and litigation such as; bankruptcy and winding up proceedings, company liquidations, acting for trustees, liquidators and administrators as well as recovery of assets through voidable transactions claims advising as to proofs of debt, preparation of deeds of company arrangement, registering interests in property, and (but not limited to) acting for insolvency practitioners whose decisions are the subject of review (such as contribution assessments and objections to discharge).
She also has significant experience in complex commercial litigation matters, including large international debts, commercial contractual disputes, partnership and shareholder disputes, trade practices claims, mareva injunctions and anton pillar orders and litigation proceedings (secured and unsecured creditors) relating to borrowers (whether solvent or insolvent) and guarantors including advices on the construction and interpretation of guarantees and enforcement of contracts.
Ece is a full member of the Insolvency Practitioners’ Association of Australia and assistant secretary and committee member of the International Women’s Insolvency and Reconstruction Federation (Victorian branch).
