On behalf of the client, applications were made for registration of a trade mark in relation to its trading name. The application was opposed by a company alleging it had prior rights to use of the name.

The application was taken through the objection phases, including the making of representations to trade mark examiners, as a consequence of which a successful registration of the trade mark was ultimately obtained.


Property Law

A Council had retained Harwood Andrews Lawyers to assist them to secure a substantial land parcel for future administration and recreational requirements.

We provided advice and documentation commencing with the appointment of consultants to identify suitable land parcels and negotiate with owners, preparation of option agreements and contract of sale to satisfy the timeline requirements of Council for due diligence and re-zoning and the tax requirements for the land owner.
